Thistles are raced with a crew of two or three. We actively race every Thursday Evening, May through August here at MBYC. There are MBYC, District, National and Women's Regattas throughout Southern California as well as National Championships.

Thistles are some of the fastest boats and one of the largest active fleets on Mission Bay.

The Thistle's weight and crew requirements actually favor a mixed crew of men and women, adult and youth. Currently, there are crewing positions available for men and women, experienced and inexperienced, youth and adult. There are also a number of new and used boats for sale.
